Large Color Circle Goethe

Goethe's Color Theory starts with pure red, yellow, and blue. Staring intently at one of these pure colors will reveal its complementary color. These complementary colors are the opposite of the primary colors in Goethe's Color circle. Our Color Circle of Goethe has two shades of red and two shades of green due to the eight fractional elements in the puzzle. These color shades can be seen together, making for a playful and fun learning experience. Children can experiment with the relationship between colors by mixing the colored puzzle pieces and placing the primary and complementary colors next to each other in a circle. Or, they can select primary colors and see the result of mixing them in a circle. A helpful tip: let children first discover how colors can be mixed by playing with watercolor paints.
